HAT Stories of World War III
European front, March 16th 1990 My platoon has been continuously fighting the Soviet and their Warsaw allies since we arrived in France in December 4rd, 1989. Before we were sent to the frontlines, we spend our Christmas in Verdun as we have Christmas Mass until the soldiers were able to party as if it was their last day on earth. There has been one thing in my mind as I am a commanding officer of the platoon as we passed though western Germany to see how destructive the war was. Our unit has entered the Hesse state, but we passed by our fellow NATO and Mexican units whom their faces say it all. They appear to be a in good spirits, but some of the veterans who fought in 1970s against Soviets in various skirmishes knew how terrible firefight was. Alsfeld was the our main objective as supported by fellow tank battalions, infantry battalions, Air squadrons, and 14 artillery batteries. The assault was brutal as we saw how dug in the Soviets were, but they retreated into the town. We
